Re: FX Holden Race Car Project
Got the rest of the parts i needed to complete this adjustable oil pressure do-dad. 1.JPG 2.JPG This setting is af far out as the adjustment goes, and would put it on the original bolts collar, so theres plenty of room for adjustment, i've heard 2-3mm shims is what people put in them, so i have way ...

Re: maximum injector size?
yep im running 2000cc injectors no problems in mine, the injector rate is getting down (.0204) but theres still room to go larger!
im running methanol, the low pulse width flow is still ok on these too, its not a full mist but its certainly a lot better than the dekas i used to have!

Re: ALDL Logger V2
yeah ive had issues like that pretty regularly, if you dont load the right adx is just doesnt show any of the data.
i've also found once you load the right adx you need to load another file then re-load the original file before it will display.

Re: FX Holden Race Car Project
yeah everyone i talk to is telling me to aim for 10psi/1000rpm ... probably about half that nowCharlescrown wrote:I like around 50-60 psi oil pressure. 30 is getting a bit risky. If only you could see inside the engine when it's reving it's nuts off. Considering it was failing it still went really hard.

Re: FX Holden Race Car Project
yeah my engine machinist said about tapping a thread and fitting a grub screw with a hole drilled in it for the cam feeds too ... probably something worth looking into! and yes i have a high volume pump ... i guess the fact its maxing at 35-40psi might indicate i just need to bump it up a bit, but a...

Re: FX Holden Race Car Project
@vlad - yeah that is the info i have been working off for mods. as for the oil pickup, the ID of the pickup is ~14mm and then goes into a dash 12 i think it is, which measures about 15-16mm ID, i don't believe this is the issue, more so a lack of oil pressure or smaller orifices after the pump. and ...

Re: FX Holden Race Car Project
@vlad - i have done a complete tear down, the block is empty. The only things i can find wrong are the fucked cylinder and some bearing wear on a few of the mains as well as the #6 rod end. I have always been concerned with oil in this engine after my oil pressure gauge was going to zero on the dyno...
