To me the 4000 block looks to be very badly corrupted.jamesried wrote:Here's the file with data there, it is not similar IMO.

Re: Trying to find the EEPROM in a 98 LS1 PCM
I would like to look at a bin file that does have data in 4000 or 6000. If the data in one of these blocks is similar to P01/P59 its possible I might have the answer for you.

Re: Trying to find the EEPROM in a 98 LS1 PCM
Looking at your "as-found.bin" you are missing valuable data usually found in blocks 4000 hex or 6000 hex which is data normally found in P01/P59 PCM's. Maybe this is normal for the 98 LS1 PCMs.

I posted this on another thread recently. Might be causing your high idle Check your TPS closed throttle Voltage. Should be around 0.7V - 0.8V approx. Typically it is less than 1 Volt. Just set the closed TPS voltage to 0.7V making sure you are using a good earth. After starting the engine or cyclin...

Re: End of Injection - L67/ecotec
If the figures in the TunerPro tables above use the same formula as EFILive being in mS. To covert them into degs just multiply by 90.
Ken on this thread came to the same conclusion a while back. Makes no sense to have them in mS.

Just set the closed TPS voltage to 0.7V making sure you are using the same earth as the PCM D2 . After starting the engine or cycling the IGN key the TPS voltage should automatically read 0%

Our RTLS1 tuning software can change the reluctor position in real time with the engine running. We also can log it a 165 fps. Sorry about showing off.

Re: PCM Output Voltages - O2 Sensor Issue Diagnosis
Forget about the cat. Get the engine to run on all 8 cylinders With so many cylinders not firing would explain why you have different temps on the exhaust pipes. If the current engine has not been running for some time you might find #1 and #5 and more fuel injectors have become jammed and not openi...

Re: PCM Output Voltages - O2 Sensor Issue Diagnosis
Kojab, if pins c & d are O2 heater, polarity doesn't matter as it's just a heating resistor. He said he has headers, so prob no cats, but it is a possibility. Yes I understand the heater circuit but best to put the wiring where it should be. People do strange things with wiring. One never knows...
