so do what i said i did with my mates car, in the areas that its not happy in closed loop mode change the afr tables to 13.5 or 14 and that will stop them from going into closed loop

Ok no worries thanks for the help hopefully it sinks in.
Whats the easiest way to get cold start to warm up right might as well do that whilst i am at it next.
Or would it be best to do a log so you can see whats going on and give me a few pointers.

I just found a custom tune bin based on similar engine specs to mine and the timing and ve looks so close to what mine likes to be it isn't funny wich woud make things a lot easier for me .
Is their an easy way to copy it all over to 12p i am sure i used to be able to open tuner pro and tuner pro rt at the same time but now it won't let me.
And is their anything other then ve ,idle timing, and main spark advance i should copy into it.

just paste the tables into excel and then open the other bin and paste back in

i'd also be taking idle and main AFR tables ... spark, and idle spark, ve table and thats probably enough to get it going ok .... without knowing the tune your using and the one you using the info from its hard to say how different they could be.

especially a custom tune, some people do some funny shit to get engines running right!

dont forget to add all the extra load columns that $12p has. its more of a copy to excel > add extra columns > average the values > copy to $12p tune. :P

Yeah thanks again installing excel now the tunes from a vs v8 auto so looks like i'll have to do a bit of double checking making sure i line up the individual columns and fill in the blanks.
It is so close to the figures i had for idle ve and timing though that i am hoping the rest of it is spot on as well.

yeah the standard V8 tune that $12p comes with is lean as piss for most v8's, once you change the exhaust, the engine is basically 185 spec. mine is a VN motor with extractors and exhaust, I need the VE tables from a 185 or its lean as, esp in the idle areas, does what you just said. might be worth posting a 185 spec cal for $12p.

Yeah mine has flat tops and a 284 crane cam at idle it was way 2 rich with base 12p i think from memory the ve figures went from around 50 down to 40 to get it right and the idle timing went from 23 24 to about 28 but this tune was already like that and the rest of the tables seem to be right as well so far .
Their was someone else on the site with a similar setup to mine that might be able to use my new tune as a base to get him started but i couldn't find what section he was in.
I'll upload it once i have gone through it a little more and logged it .
