Apart from my many other projects , I shall now officially announce another one ! (some of you already know ) . I am building the worlds first and only Isuzu Gemini type R . ( stand back & watch the forums go wild !!! ) I picked up for nothing , a gemini rally car with the idea of rust repairs , use it once & sell it . THE RUST !!! I drove it onto the trailer , but there was no floor under my feet . everytime I jacked it up , bits of gemini fell to the ground . So now it's a reshell - too much money being spent so now I'll have to keep it . Another shell was found - paid the princely sum of 1 x 5 bearing Bellett motor & 1x GT gearbox ( too much ?? ) cage is in, interior painted, & is now with the painter getting the exterioir done The motor ( a "hotty " I built in 1992 ) is being re-repaired 16 superlites sourced & big brakes being worked on . If it wasn't for friends , I couldn't afford to do all this . Thank you all .

I tried to scan the original car , but it ended up as a PDF file ??? Just click the attachment & you'll see the car in the 1998 Rally of Melbourne - Healesville sportsground special stage . I was 2nd Sweep car ( Last car in the field - road closed in front of me , road open behind . ) & I cocked up the corner, much to the amusement of the crowd !! A lot of fun tho'.

The motor & gearbox now in - I had nothing else to do on Anzac day long week-end . Front & rear windscreens had to go in as it now resides outdoors during the day - there are too many tyres in the shed .

Looking really close mate! How soon will you have some plates on there? I especially like the proper horns, gotta work some Bellettness in there! Get it out and enjoy it as soon as you can! Cheers, Matt.

Not much has happened to the Gem - Brakes only need front pads to work . I now have my 14x7" superlites - much easier to push in & out of the shop now . I got them a little cheaper 'cos they were unclaimed orders - they may also fit my Belletts !

Nice to see it's still bubbling along. Won't be long and we will be into all sorts of inessential stuff. Good on you for occupying your time well. Cheers, Matt.
