Had a crack at an SRS light on a VY today, but no luck.

Sent it FA,56,0A,A6 and got back F2,56,0A,AE but no change in the SRS light.

Is this indicitave that it's an active fault, or is VY going to be different?
SRS was set when cluster was in and out of the vehicle.

Could be indicative of an active fault, but I think the command may be different.
I had this on my VT before I changed the clockspring, but it did reset it for a couple of seconds then it reappeared.
The reason for it when the Instruments are out is that it is waiting for a signal from the airbag module, when it doesn't see one it displays the light.
The same thing happens when you disable chatter when datalogging, after a few seconds the airbag light comes on and the cooling fans start, disconnect datalogging and all back to normal.

Been playing with a vt today that has the srs light on .I ve been able to use yodas command to turn the light off but it comes back on in 10 secs.Does anyone know how the srs codes are extracted , do you bridge two pins like the pcm and the srs light flashes the codes or do you need to send an aldl command. Also if a seat belt pretensioner is set off do you need to replace it or can you reuse them as the cable seems to be pulled tighter on drivers side than the passanger one.
Also does anyone know the resistance readings for all the srs sensors and is there a way to check the clockspring without pulling the wheel off.
Thanks

I'm pretty sure the seatbelt pretensioners are single use.

Found this for a vs , what actuates the airbags on a vs ,is there a momentum sensor in the module?

Cheers .
What other info does your tech 1 tell you about the srs.
Have you tried to work out how it communicates with the module and reads the codes. :?:

Yeh there's another thread where I posted stuff up on the vs though it's on a seperate bus haven't been able to get much out of it that's useable.

With tech1 I can see all the resistances and status of each item dtcs serial and model number of module
