vn 5l th 700 conversion
vn 5l th 700 conversion
Ok so I have it running on a stock ecu and engine harness from a vq stato
Its got the th 700
I have an after market speed sensor and need to wire that and the lock up and overdrive stuff back to the ecu
the speed sensor is still a 3 wire same as the std vss on the stato
I used this sensor to enable the use of speedo cable as its a much cheaper option than doing the conversion at the dash
I have also got the auto loom but no dash loom so no where to plug the loom into
need to know what pins and stuff it all goes too
or ideally have someone in perth do it for me
It cant be too hard I just really cant do trial and error here
cheers guys
Ill post pics to relate to this post over the weekend thanks again guys
Oh incase it matters to you all its in a hx tonner with a q front end

Re: vn 5l th 700 conversion
There are some VN V8 diagrams here .. http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=432
The sensor will have 12V, gnd and signal wires. The 12V feed is switched ignition.
You wont have the speedo part shown in the factory diagram which does a divide by 5 of the signal. Wire the signal wire of your sensor directly to pin A10 of the ECU.
Once its all working will need to setup the PPK value in the ECU to match the sensor output.

Re: vn 5l th 700 conversion
ill post pics to make it clear tonight or tomorrow. as you will see im not sure where the wires connect too
ideally id like the whole transmission harness used as factory. but i dont have the dash loom. hence the issue
I dont mind paying you to sort it out if you want to im ok with that
ill post all info possible once i have good pics of the issue and more on the sensor
Its not some cheap procrap one
It is the one recomended by a fair few places
kind Regards bud

still awaiting the speed sensor
will post those pics soon
its now really the overdrive thing I will need help with
might get speed sensor worked out thanks to vl400
Re: vn 5l th 700 conversion
that's the sensor with an average at best diagram but all components are completely there
Re: vn 5l th 700 conversion
obviously ill need to redo this part of the harness and get the new speedo sensor wired up and the tcc whoch I need help with
Re: vn 5l th 700 conversion
is that 4 pin connector the tcc control or what does it do ? and whats the wiring to get it hooked up
Re: vn 5l th 700 conversion
how do I mesh it all up???
im happy to pay someone to complete the job in perth
