Thank you to vlt304, my NVRAM is working now!

Now I've got a problem. My TPS in 'inverted'. That is to say, when my throttle is closed it's reading 100% in TP5, and when I'm at WOT it's reading 0%. Is there any way to fix this? It was working with my other TPS, but I changed plenum and TB because the old one was a bit big for my application.

Okay, but is there a way I can make it work? It's got the full range, just backward...

mechanically yes, but electrically should be the same. Pinout was the same one when I checked it on my custom harness.

in case it is, just unpin the 5V and output and swap them around leaving round as is?
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

Is the 5V the red wire on it? Sorry, I don't know exactly what TPS this is, but it's off a Rodeo and has a second plug, which is the plug with the linear output.

Ive just seen this thread. Im glad that programmer worked, the dallas 1245 nvram isnt listed in the supported chips. Did you need to pick another chip when you programmed it, or did it actually list the correct chip in the software once you got it?

Yes, for swapping polarity. Swap the blackest wire and the most red wire. Or if still not clear advise what colors you have.

Ive just had a report of an nvram arriving in Canada dead, so like the others, working when left here... I also suspect X-Rays but I dont know for sure. Its most certainly worth having an eprom programmer, you tend to need it sooner or later for something you want or need to do in this hobby.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396

I haven't actually recieved my programmer yet! Vlt304 was kind enough to do it for me.

I'll go try that and report back with results!

EDIT: Success! TPS reads properly now. For those who are interested, I think it's an auto Rodeo TPS, as it seems somewhat similar to an auto TPS antus had.
