aslong as the manifold you are welding the injector bosses into has divided ports it will work fine. aslong as the dividers go back past where the injectors are mounted it will deliver even fuel to each cylinder.

VL400 will probably be able to give you more information on using the crane hi6 as hes got a msd setup working on the VAL with a camira module.

at the very least your going to need to lock the dizzy and fit a camira ignition module to it, but then it should be able to control the crane coil etc.

you need the camira module because its the part of the system that talks to the DELCO.

Yep running a MSD-6AL-2 and gigantic coil. Using the output from the camira (what normally drives the coil neg) going into the MSD on the points/amplifier input as they call it. Cant see that the HI6 would be much different to that, although we made over 350hp on a scrapyard camira module so depending on what your are running with it may not need the crane module. We even made just over 400hp at the treads before ignition breaking down at around 5000 RPM, which was when we added the MSD.

Another ignition question. Can the std HEI coil from the blue/black 202 be used with the Camira module, as I've fitted the Crane ignition that I mentioned to another vehicle?
I'll start my own thread with my 202 conversion as soon as I get some more bits n pieces.

Should be no problems .
I just tuned a 202 turbo setup with std bosch electronic coil and camira module ,and it worked fine. :driving:

Hi holden202, just thought id drop a post to show the latest on my 202 conversion :)
I finally got around to installing my front mount inter cooler and its looking quite tough, the grille and bumper hide it entirely so it's nice and stealthy :punk:
it did take some effort to get the 3 1/2" holes in for the silicone hoses though.

I finished wiring my mechanics new shed at home the other week so the engine should be back on the boil again soon with all its delco/turbo/intercooled goodness

is a (BUICK SKYHAWK) ignition module the same as a camira?

I dont know the buick skyhawk, but if it looks the same then it is (there is no gotcha part which looks the same but is not compatible). I just searched and the '86 one part number DS10041 was the first to come up (with a list of 1000 compatible year/brand/models vehicle applications!) and thats definitely it.
