According to the datasheet for the driver (VNLD5090-E) it has a 13A drain current.

I do have 2 i think PCB's left....

currently i am happy that it works with the following notes:

1. crank trigger input went to the wrong pin, so it required a jumper wire on the bottom of the board to move it to the right pin, no real issue other than aesthetics.
2. the power LED stays on when its plugged into the car but the usb is not connected and the the ignition is off ... obviously this is not an issue for testing purposes, but may drain the battery if left in a car for long periods...
3. as previously stated flex sensor has not been tested, however it is the same circuit as on a previous speeduino board i made, so i don't see any reason it shouldn't.

So i guess its up to you, if you want to try one now knowing the above then i have no issues with that, if you are able to built it yourself i can post you a board pretty quick, however if you want me to do it, it might take a few weeks, i also dont have any spare 808 connectors, hense why mine has a VS V6 connector on it, it fits the same, just requires you to cut some of the locating tabs off your loom side plugs (easy to do if your happy to do it)

Man thats really nice. I do like how it will just pop back into a 808 housing (with a little USB mod) and will take a knock board.

I did come across the Speeduino page a while back but had never seen this implantation on a AU car :-)

Have you done much more with it as yet?? Keen to see how it goes.

Justin

not a lot, i have tweaked the tune for my car to try it (IAC and idle settings etc) but i am not in a position to start the car at the moment to test it any further .... and when i first ran it i didnt have the radiator or wideband in the car, so i do want to try again and confirm all that stuff is working and actually be able to make meaningful changes to the tune!

I have also had a few requests to get a board, so hopefully once they go out i can get some more feedback on testing from others.

I have been looking into fitting a speeduino to my boosted VT however how would it work with body input/outputs like A/C inputs and outputs and oil pressure light?

speeduino has programmable outputs but not alot in the way of programmable inputs ....

i do have a few PCB's left .... i dont really have the time to build it for you but if you are willing to do the assembly yourself i can certainly supply the board and a BOM.

send me a PM to discuss further if you want to proceed.
